Our gloss black Tubular Control Arms are designed to radically improve steering response, front tire grip, and handling balance at the limits of adhesion. This is done primarily by a complete elimination of bushing deflection and slop. Performance on bumpy surfaces is also improved via reduction of unsprung weight and far smoother suspension travel. Caster setting is increased by .5° and ball joint mounts are slotted to allow camber adjustment.
Although the top-quality Teflon®-lined rod ends provide no cushion at all, they articulate without any of the binding and "sticktion" involved with rubber and harder material bushings. On most road surfaces, driver and passenger experience a remarkably smooth but firmer ride with tremendous improvement in steering feel and handling precision. There is no chatter or knocking noise typical with rod ends.
Note: Version 2.0 Arms can now take both standard Mk4 Ball Joints and also Mk4 R32/Mk1 Audi TT ball joints. Purchase a discounted set with your pair of arms. (Conversion Ball Joints are no longer required.) Add our inexpensive new Seal Kit to protect rod ends against corrosion from weather, salt, etc.
